Drew Brees is now alone in a category in the history of the NFL.
The New Orleans Saints quarterback set a record Sunday for most career wins, eclipsing Brett Favre's previous record of 6,300.
Brees broke the record with a connection to receiver Michael Thomas in the second quarter against the Atlanta Falcons.
Sunday could be one of the first steps of what promises to be a historic season for Brees. The 39-year-old Appellant entered the day just 813 meters from Peyton Manning's record for career passes (71.940). He has also tied with Tom Brady for most touchdowns (493), but he will be struggling to overtake Manning (539) for the best score.
