The animated classic of Disney in 1941 Dumbo gets a live metamorphosis in the trailer and the director Tim Burton's cover poster. Many of Burton's longtime collaborators in the film (including Michael Keaton, Eva Green and Danny DeVito), as well as newcomers to the world of Burton, like Colin Farrell, join the titular flying elephant.
Written by Ehren Kruger (The grimm brothers, Transformers: The age of extinction), the live-action Dumbo Holt Farrier (Farrell), former circus star and single father looking for a job to support his children, Joe (Finley Hobbins) and Milly (Nico Parker). Holt is then hired by his former circus boss, Max Medici (DeVito), to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant with giant ears … ears that ultimately allow him to fly and the quickly turn into a major attraction of the circus. However, the new notoriety of Dumbo also makes it a prime target for entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton), an unscrupulous guy who intends to add the feeling of theft to his misleading name "entertainment company", Dreamland, where the "charming and spectacular" aerial artist Colette Marchant (Green) resides.

Dumbo is unique among Disney's classic cartoon films, as it is not a near-following of a story previously adapted by the Mouse House.
