Check these cabinets and pantry, Duncan Hines recalled some cake mixes because of concerns about salmonella.
According to the US Food and Drug Administration's website, Conagra Brands is working with health officials after a positive finding of salmonella in a retail sample of Duncan Hines' classic white cake mix that could be linked to an outbreak salmonella under investigation by the CDC and the FDA.
Conagra decided to voluntarily recall the Classic White cake mix and three other varieties made during the same period: Classic Butter Golden, Signature Confetti and Classic Yellow.

According to the FDA, there have been five cases of illness due to salmonella. They also said that several people reported having already eaten a cake mix before falling ill; some may also have eaten raw and uncooked products. Consumers are advised not to do so, says the FDA.
