"Shallow" is expected to skyrocket next week after his first full week of follow-up.
As the audience gets ready for the romantic musical drama A star is born, which is due to arrive in theaters this Friday, Bradley Cooper is making his Display panel debut in the charts thanks to the duet "Shallow" with the co-star Lady Gaga.
The ballad debuted at # 14 in the charts of all genres (Digital Song Sales) (dated Oct. 6) and # 4 in the Pop Digital Song Sales poll with 12,000 downloads sold during the follow-up week ending September 27, according to Nielsen Music. .
The track starts with a half-day follow-up because it was launched on the last day of the follow-up week, September 21-27. As such, the song will likely make a big jump on next week's charts (dated Oct. 13) and could debut on streaming, streaming and the Billboard Hot 100 based on sales next week. According to Nielsen Music data, "Shallow" is the best-selling song of the current week-in-progress (ending Oct. 4), with over 35,000 sales to date.
The song, the first single of the band A star is born The soundtrack (also scheduled for October 5) was co-written by Gaga, Mark Ronson, former Dirty Pretty Things singer Anthony Rossomando and Miike Snow singer Andrew Wyatt.
The soundtrack includes four other Gaga-Cooper duets, as well as five solo cuts by Cooper and eight songs by just Gaga. Jason Isbell, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, Lukas Nelson and Natalie Hemby are among the authors.
Cooper debuts as a director with A star is born and co-produced and co-wrote the script. He plays the musician Jackson Maine, who discovers the character Gaga, Ally, in the last remake of the original film of 1937 starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. The film was adapted into a musical comedy in 1954 with Judy Garland and remade into a musical in 1976 with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
