As a quarterback, Patrick Mahomes must ensure that the Kansas City Chiefs score each time they have the ball. A training that gives only zero points is a failure, but Mahomes has not had as much this season.
While this is normally a good thing for all the chiefs, it creates a pretty lonely atmosphere for the bettor. Dustin Colquitt did not see much ground for the Chiefs in 2018, and he has come to the point where he really thanks Mahomes for allowing him to do his job.
Mahomes was ready for the team's win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. In the middle of the video, Colquitt tells Mahomes: "Thank you for allowing me to play punt. I appreciate it. It was good to go out. Both laugh as Colquitt tapped Mahomes in the back.

The Chiefs were determined to stop Colquitt from leaving the field early, scoring points in their first four tries. Colquitt finally fought back with just under two minutes to play in the first period. That seemed to open the door, while Colquitt found himself four more times in the shovel.
We are not saying that Mahomes intentionally ensured that the orders were blocked to allow Colquitt to get more action, but given the number of times that Mahomes marched as best he could against opposing defenses all year long we can not completely exclude it.
