Eagles
The problem (s): Offense unable to move the ball into the field. Injuries The defense is used to playing well at home, but seems to be out of Philadelphia.
How to fix it: the imminent return of Carson Wentz should give a boost to this group, but we must quickly remedy the big games allowed in defense and the offensive pieces crushed.
Worry-meter (on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 means that the season is over):
giants
The problem (s): Offensive line. Quarterback Sam Darnold plays for the other MetLife Stadium team. Absence of passwords. Conservative coaching
How to fix it: The easy answer would have been to write Darnold at number 2 and turn the page. Now: New York needs to drive to Saquon Barkley as the 2016 Cowboys rolled on Ezekiel Elliott. Eli Manning can still be effective, but 44 short passages do not go to work.
Worry-meter: 9. In a loaded NFC, 0-2 could be the end of the 2018 season for the Giants. Larger image: Manning is no younger and there is no reason to believe that the Giants have found a real relief plan.
Steelers
The problem (s): The turmoil of the locker room. The distraction of Le'Veon Bell on a weekly basis. No real defensive identity since Ryan Shazier's defeat last season.
How to fix it: Trade Bell ASAP – with the idea of recovering a defensive player. It's becoming clearer and clearer that Bell wants to get out of Pittsburgh, or just everything about his career and future earnings. In isolation, that's good. The Steelers should grant him this wish, give away a record that they do not plan to pay and attempt to improve a tainted defense.
Worry-meter: 7. Unlike the NFC East, the AFC North sounds daunting. Cincinnati is already 2-0. Baltimore is a dangerous 1-1. Even Cleveland is a chore in 0-1-1.
The patriots
The problem (s): No external receiver or slot enough to scare anyone.
How to fix it: swap for Josh Gordon or sign Dez Bryant. It's time for Bill Belichick to do what he does best: try his luck with a struggling talent to improve the team.
The worries meter: 6. Jacksonville's dominant victory over New England yesterday could be the first step in the fight against the Patriots.
