PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles released their injury report for their Week 7 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
There were six players listed, including some key players like running back Darren Sproles, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and offensive linemen Lane Johnson and Jason Peters.
Here’s a look at the official injury report, plus all of their statuses , and what coach Doug Pederson has said about them this week.

FULL REPORT FOR PANTHERS GAME
OUT: RB Darren Sproles (hamstring), S Corey Graham (hamstring), CB Sidney Jones (hamstring), LB D.J. Alexander (quads), LB Nathan Gerry (ankle, knee)
QUESTIONABLE: DT Haloti Ngata (calf)
WILL PLAY: OT Lane Johnson (ankle), OT Jason Peters (bicep), QB Carson Wentz (back), DE Derek Barnett (shoulder), CB Jalen Mills (hamstring)
DT Haloti Ngata
Injury: Calf
Practice: Limited on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Status: Missed last two games.
Doug said: “Haloti is still day to day, questionable. He’s progressing well and we’ll see where he’s at after (Friday’s) practice.”
What it means: If Ngata can’t go, or is limited, the Eagles will be heavily relying on players that have spent more time on practice squads this season — Treyvon Hester and Bruce Hector — than and active rosters. Though, the Eagles do sound confident in Hester’s ability to start alongside Fletcher Cox on Sunday.
RB Darren Sproles
Injury: Hamstring
Practice: Didn’t practice this week.
Status: OUT. Will be sixth straight game he’s missed.
Doug said: “We’re optimistic. I don’t want to push him with the injury he’s had to his lower body, obviously being a runner and a sprinter. We just want to make sure he’s good. Optimism is high and hopefully he can get out there next week.”
What it means: The Eagles have sounded progressively less optimistic about Sproles’ return as the season has progressed without him, though Pederson continues to portray optimism in his eventual return, as soon as next week. Until he hits the practice field, though, he won’t be coming back. Believe it when we see it.
LT Jason Peters
Injury: Biceps
Practice: Limited on Wednesday, full-go on Thursday, Limited on Friday
Status: WILL PLAY.
Doug said (Wednesday): “It’s definitely something. There’s something there. He can definitely play, no concern with injuring him any further or anything like that. But all the confidence in the world with him, and he’ll be ready to go.”
What it means: It’s somewhat surprising that Peters is able to play after suffering a torn biceps injury against the Giants last week, but he was called a “warrior” earlier in the week by offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland. His performance hasn’t been up to Peters’ usual standard, so it will be interesting to see how this injury impacts his play now.
