Eagles Week 10 Review: Not everyone has failed Dallas

You might think all F's for the Eagles after a 27-20 defeat against a bad Cowboys squad Sunday night – but then you'd need to keep the opinion that this team was better than that.

The Eagles were a "C" team that showed up and played as if nothing had happened.

Strategist

Carson Wentz: 32/44, 360 YDS, 2 TD, 1 INT

The Eagles scored all three points in the first period while Wentz completed 10 of 17 passes for 104 yards with the interception. It has been great in the last 30 minutes, but it was too little and too late.

Grade: C

Running backs

Josh Adams: 7 ATT, 47 YDS

Adams scored a few points on a 29-yard gain, though his agility in turning the corner at the next game, a five-yard carry, is even more impressive at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds. Corey Clement, on the other hand, simply can not go, scoring eight yards in six touches with a fall.

Grade: C

Wide receivers and tight ends

Zach Ertz: 14 REC, 145 YDS, 2 TD

Once again, Ertz completed the statistics with four receptions for 45 yards, but it was a big night anyway, with two decisive touchdowns. Nelson Agholor scored a goal from Ertz with a 51-yard bomb and Jordan Matthews added 40 yards in three shots, all first attempts. Alshon Jeffery and Golden Tate were disappointed – Jeffery could not find the difficult striker whose attack was badly needed, while Tate finished with two catches for 19 yards in his debut with the Eagles.

Offensive line

Surprisingly, not the problem, considering that Halapoulivaati Vaitai began in place of a wounded, Lane Johnson, at the right opportunity. Some of the difficulties faced by Wentz could be attributed to pressure, but the quarter was only affected six times out of 47 lapses. Here again, the lack of consistent traffic lanes is a problem, and penetration on a carry on the 4th and once, resulting in a flip on the descents, was pitiful.

Grade: C

Defensive line

Michael Bennett: 2 TKL, 2.0 SK

So disturbing at first. Fletcher Cox was in the field at every moment. Bennett and Brandon Graham combined for 3.5 sacks and seven quarterback hits. The top five Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott have amassed 14 yards. Unfortunately, the aircraft was tired as the night progressed, the quarterback felt a little more comfortable and Elliott took over.

Grade: C

linebackers

Nigel Bradham: 10 TKL

Bradham and Jordan Hicks combined for 17 tackles and zero remarkable play – unless you count the number of times Elliott was second level unattended. Kamu Grugier-Hill, who dropped his choice, was pretty big too.

Grade: C-

Defensive backs

Admittedly, high school missed four of the five starters after the fall of Ronald Darby, but 26 completions, a 72.2 completion percentage and 270-yard passes were highs of the season for Cowboys quarter Dak Cowey . Rasul Douglas especially let the Eagles fans dream of Jalen Mills, with too many negative pieces on the list – although his impression of matador in the 3rd and 15th came out.

Grade: C-

Special teams

Cameron Johnston: 2 PUNTS, 44.0 AVG, 2 IN20

The Eagles had six cracks back in this match – Clément's four, Tate's two – with no notable games to show. As average as it is.

Grade: C +

framing

Eagles record: 4-5

None of the best performances of Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz. However, at some point you look at the staff. It's not like it's a horribly called game from start to finish. Players do not play games, from Wentz to the many substitutes in the field.
