The Seattle Seahawks activate safety Earl Thomas and plan to launch it in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

Coach Pete Carroll said earlier this week that Thomas had a good week of training after returning to the team on Wednesday. At the time, he would not say if Thomas – the last member of the Boom Legion – would play.

"He was solid all week," Carroll said. "He shot and studied and worked hard, and he had a good week and we'll let you know how it's going to be tomorrow."

Thomas, 29, has been up and running all season looking for a contract extension or an exchange with a team that will give him one. He had hinted that he had already taken a discount to keep the legion of the Seahawks' boom.

In an Instagram article on Wednesday, Thomas wrote that he was not going to drop his teammates, the city or the fans, and that "the lack of respect has been noted and will not be forgotten.

"Father Time may have an undefeated record, but I think I'm counting on taking it to triple my career."
