Earl Thomas appears to be removing the Seahawks' bench during transport (Video)

Earl Thomas wanted a long-term contract with a Seattle Seahawks money guarantee, and star safety was removed from the pitch in week 4.

The Seattle Seahawks have been actively buying Earl Thomas from the trading block, and ESPN's Adam Schefter announced on Sunday that Seattle would not budge because of the asking price in the second round. Unfortunately, it seems that Thomas is not traded this year because he left the Seahawks Week 4 game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a serious injury to his left leg. according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL network.

As Thomas was fired from the field in the fourth quarter, he pulled a major towards The Seahawks head coach, Pete Carroll (link provides video). This is a reference for the organization that did not support a star who helped her win a Super Bowl and play another championship game two years later. Thomas was a "glue" guy for the Seahawks' defense during the best years of the franchise, and he felt Seattle should have taken care of him in case of a serious injury.

This possible end-of-season injury has occurred and it's a huge blow for Thomas financially. The 29-year-old is in the final year of his contract and he has stood aside from the Seahawks' practices, probably out of fear of being hurt in practice. These fears have turned into reality against Arizona, and all eyes will be on the status of Thomas. We can only hope that he is fine, but his reaction indicates that fans should not expect good news.

This is a sad situation for Thomas and it is perhaps the last image of his stay in Seattle, despite all the triumphs and interceptions. Thomas is one of the best players in the NFL for years and many observers have called the fast and fast safety of the most valuable defensive player on one of the biggest defenses in NFL history.

Thomas's interest in the trading block has disappeared now that he has been hurt, and he will have to deal with the free trade agency issue as a 30-year-old woman gets away with it. If the Seahawks signed a long-term contract with Thomas, he would have had financial security. Instead, he has received hatred from some fans, the stigma of being a pillar, and has now lost a lot of money because of this injury.

Seattle is struggling to start the 2018 season and losing Thomas will not help. Bradley McDougald is out of safety, and the Seahawks could still participate in the playoffs if the offensive shows signs of improvement. These are a lot of "ifs", though.

Thomas's days in Seattle are almost certainly counted, and the man he likely beat Sunday, head coach Pete Carroll, could also leave if it led to a downward spiral for his team.

I bet there will be a lot of comments from both sides after this move by Thomas, who is clearly frustrated after all he has fought in recent months, beyond the fact that he has just suffered a painful injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell held out for the same reasons as Thomas. He has not played in any match yet for fear of suffering the same fate. Bell feels likely to look at Thomas's misfortune, and I wonder how that affects his feelings and the current Steelers trade negotiations surrounding the backtracking.

At this point, Thomas's health comes first, so we hope he will avoid anything that is too serious in the last year of his contract.
