Eating lots of spinach drizzled with orange juice would help reduce the risk of early memory loss in men.
A study found that those who mocked the leafy greens that gave surfer Popeye a super strong force recorded a decline of up to 34%.
In addition, drinking orange is also protected against "thought disorders", which reduces the risk by 49%, according to a survey conducted by the American University of Harvard with 28,000 older men 20 years old.
Dr. Changzheng Yuan, principal investigator, said, "Our studies provide new evidence that dietary choices can be important for maintaining brain health.
"One of the most important factors of this study is that we have been able to research and follow such a large group of men over a period of 20 years."
Participants ate various amounts of leafy vegetables such as spinach, vegetables, and red and orange fruits.
Veg increased the power of memory, but men who ate the most fruit saw only a slight protective effect.
The best results were obtained for six daily servings.
One serving consisted of half a cup of juice, two cups of green leaves and a cup of raw vegetables or fruits.
As vegetables increased the power of memory, men who ate the most fruit each day saw only a slight protective effect.
