Patrick Reed reached the 2018 Ryder Cup with the highest career-winning percentage of all US team players, but the Masters champion endured a miserable ride on Saturday morning and fell to 0-2. this week.
Reed, who earned the nickname Captain America because of his success at the event in 2014 and 2016, was terrible starting for his second round of four balls alongside Tiger Woods. Reed only had four of the US team's 15-hole scores and the European duo of Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood improved to 3-0 by fleeing the match, 4 & 3.
European tour golfer Edoardo Molinari shared the Ryder Cup to support his brother, and the Italian threw a hilarious shot at Reed on Saturday.
In Reed's defense, it is unlikely that an American playoff beat the Molinari and Fleetwood duo through three sessions in France. The 2018 Open Champion had a 0-4-2 record at the Ryder Cup, but it was sensational at the National Golf.
