BOSTON – Eduardo Nunez, who has not played since last Wednesday (Sept. 19) due to a hamstring injury, is back in training the Red Sox on Friday against the Yankees.
Nunez also had knee pain during the season as he returned from his previous cruciate ligament injury last September.
"We are comfortable with those playing third base (in the ALDS)," said Alex Cora, director of the Red Sox. "First of all, we have to see if Nuney is in good health, it's the most important thing.We think it'll be fine.I do not want a situation like last year, what the team experienced last year. "
Nunez was injured again at the knee and reached the first goal in the first round of the first game of the 2017 ALDS.
