Taron Egerton comes into the shoes of Elton John!
On Friday, Paramount Pictures shared the first look of the 28-year-old actor like Elton John in the upcoming biographical film, Rocketman. According to a press release, the "Epic Musical Fantasy" will show "the uncensored human story of Sir Elton John's breakthrough years".
In the first picture, Egerton straight out of the 70s while basking on a sofa with black and white stripes in a plane. Wearing sparkling silver sunglasses, a shiny golden jacket and incredible gold winged shoes, Egerton is the spitting image of the singer "Candle in the Wind".
the Kingsman star shared the picture on his own Twitter account, calling himself "proud and excited" of the project, which should release its first trailer on Monday.
John is also delighted with the project! The singer "Tiny Dancer" shared the picture of Egerton on Instagram. "Hang on to your glasses, it's going to be a crazy race !!" John subtitled the message. "This is Taron Egerton (who represents me!) On the set of the movie #Rocketman. #Film #comingsoon"
With the role of Jamie Bell, Richard Madden and Bryce Dallas Howard, the film directed by Dexter Fletcher is sure to perform at the movie theater on May 31, 2019. This should be a perfect fit for Fletcher, who recently directed the biopic Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody, which begins on November 2nd.
At the beginning of the month, ET was on the set Rocketman and Egerton could not contain his excitement about the scene they were working on. "We're coming to LA for our first Troubadour concert, where everything really went crazy," he told Kevin Frazier's ET. "It's a big problem!"
