Emily Blunt proves that "in every work that needs to be done, there is an element of pleasure".
Walt Disney Studios has just released the first feature film for Return of Mary Poppins (in theaters December 19), starring Blunt taking the role Julie Andrews made famous in 1964. The images begin with Mary descending from the clouds and visiting the adult children of Banks. Michael (Ben Whishaw) wonders, "You hardly seem to have aged at all." Rob Marshall directed Return of Mary Poppins, from a scenario by David Magee (based on Stories of Mary Poppins by PL. Travers.) Marshall also produced the film with John DeLuca and Marc Plattwith Callum McDougall serving as executive producer. Marc Shaiman, who manipulated the score, also created an original music for the film and wrote lyrics with Scott Wittman. The trailer shows Blunt singing one of the new songs – and it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
The first trailer of Return of Mary Poppins was released in March.
