13th out of: England 79-2 (Jones 34, Sciver 34) Target 113. Kaur persists with the Poonam plan. Five singles? They will take that. This is good news for England as it gets closer to the magic number.

12th on: England 74-2 (Jones 31, Sciver 32) Target 113. A better result of Radha, who does not give up the ball. "England would have already had an extra extra if they had not sued all those offside players," an email to Adam Hirst. "Leave them alone!"

Yes and no. England needed to break them well outside and it worked by moving into the pit to reach those larger deliveries. This definitely cast their opposition.

11th on: England 70-2 (Jones 29, Sciver 30) Target 113. Hemalatha replaces Patil, so India dropped out of Plan A. Regardless, Sciver is the player tonight where she competed at the World Cup World Cup last year, again pulling with authority until at the border. India can not create the pressure needed to create an error. Ten more.

10th out of: England 60-2 (Jones 27, Sciver 22) Target 113. Same thing for Sciver, who this time decides to shoot and withdraw rather than cut, the result is the same, dividing the sweepers to get a third limit in as many passes. And Sciver is dropped first ball of it! It would have been huge. Malchanced square leg, no luck, Poonam drops it! With three players on the circle between the backstop and the point of coverage – the plan to coach England with deliveries out of the trunk – the two men are agile enough to get around the crease and find five singles elsewhere. Charlotte Edwards is very critical of such a defensive strategy of India, which defends only 112.

6th on: England 30-2 (Jones 18, Sciver 3) Target 113. The power play finale, Radha sends him with his left arm finger. Four singles and one wide is their lot, the pitch will now go out. Will Sciver try to beef up the rope a little more? Looking at her range hard enough over the past two weeks, she can handle it without much touch. We will see. 3rd on: England 14-1 (Wyatt 6, Jones 7) Target 113. It has always been hard work to beat fourth place on this track today, so England will have to do a lot here. But fair play Amy Jones, who has the opportunity to hit the thrower Sharma to mark its first frontier – make it the first frontier of England. It does not bother me at all. it is not a field to play in a conventional way.

Hint and run to cover the first ball of Shrubsole's new ball, but Wyatt is brilliant in close match and throws, nailing the non-striker stubs straight to bring Radha out of a few inches.

18th on: India 104-7 (Sharma 5, Radha 4) Hazell in turn to keep the pressure and she does it well: no limit ball is proposed here. But as Charlotte Edwards notes, being such a tough field, any pursuit will be hard work when England clashes.

Knight supported her own outing and she worked like a treat by picking up a second counter with Hemalatha by spotting Beaumont. This game evolves very quickly.

A single behind the box gives Mandhana some opportunities to let the good times play and she does it exactly, dancing upside down on an extra blanket for another term. She is 28 years old out of 19.

4th on: India 28-0 (Bhatia 4, Mandhana 24) Can the young Lancastrian keep it cool with the ball after dropping this catch? Right after the mistake, it is Ecclestone's Andy Roberts End. But Mandhana is remarkably touched here, hitting the two best shots of the day in the space of four balls: a quick shot to fall to the ground followed by a superb smoothed workout over a long SIX! If England does not get rid of her soon, it could quickly become ugly. "The most talented hitter in the world," Ebony Rainford-Brent concludes on TMS.

3rd on: India 18-0 (Bhatia 4, Mandhana 14) Upper edge! But do not go to the hand. It's already a captivating fight between Shrubsole and Mandhana, two of the best in the world in what they do. The next ball, she runs a boundary behind the point, using what pace it is – superb stick. But finally, Caught on the ground! Oh my God, it's a simple catch under cover, Mandhana pushing it towards Ecclestone (who puts it back), who puts it slightly while moving slightly to his left. It hurts and all English fans know it.
