Esker Software "Shooting": "Attack" reported in Middleton

Filming was reported at a software company in Middleton, Wisconsin. The incident took place at Esker Software on Sept. 19, with reports of the attack occurring around 10:30 am local time, reports the Wisconsin State Journal. There was no confirmation of injuries in the shooting. Fox Madison reports that there are "several armed men" involved in the incident. Until now, the Sheriff's Department of Dane County has confirmed the existence of an "active fire situation".

On their official website, Esker is described as a "world leader in AI-driven process automation software." The office is located at 1850 Demming Way in Middleton, about 11 miles west of Madison.

WISC reports that as a precaution, Middleton High School, Kromrey Middle School and Clark Street Community School have all been locked out. WIEC Keely Arthur reports that there are "at least 50 police cars" on the premises. Arthur later reported that an ambulance could be seen picking up someone at the scene.

St. Paul Division of ATF tweeted that they "respond" to the scene.
