Viewers knew that Eureka O 'Hara was back in revenge as she leaned to kiss the floor of the workroom as the first queen to enter season 10. His reign of season 9 was torn off by an unexpected injury. -challenge, and, "like a phoenix of ashes", by its entry season 10, she returned. Not only did she return to Drag Race more prepared than before, but she also recovered from a serious knee blow – a crucial base for dragging performance. So, it is safe to say that Eureka O 'Hara is the official return of Drag Race and she won this title and more. In an interview with Bustle, Eureka remembers the path she has traveled and shares what lies ahead for her future.
Eureka is known as a drag-queen boomerang, and not just because of what she physically bounced back. She has also been emotionally tested in the competition, especially in season 10. Many queens have judged her as "too much" or "too strong". And although she's an "extra" self-proclaimed, Eureka had to learn to come back from hateful comments. The good news is that she knows how to overcome negativity, and she learned from these experiences.
"I learned to be authentically myself," says Eureka. "When you are [yourself] your tribe will be found, and people will love you for exactly who you are." Even in a culture that would be based on the pillars of inclusion and acceptance, Eureka has struggled to gain acceptance from many other queens of season 10, mainly because of her turbulent personality . But she realized that her personality is also what brought her to the finals in Los Angeles, so she would not change anything.
"Honey, I want to be on TV and at the movies, that's why I did it!"
"I'm literally in the best position possible without winning the crown," she says. "So I am honored and blessed to have support, and that I have done it in every episode, last year, I missed … I did not not missed the season 10. " Shantay, she stayed up to the top three, and although she would have liked to win, Eureka said that she knows that Aquaria also deserved the crown. "You can not take anything away from him," she says. "There is not a single girl on the cast of the season 10 that I can tell who wanted to win as much as me, except Aquaria, and I really believe it, and you know what I'm most proud of? beautiful, skinny, white, slender, New York fashionista ass a race for her money. "
One thing Eureka did not revisit is her relationship with another sister of Season 10, The Vixen . Both have a somewhat tumultuous past and a tendency to disagree – their equally big personalities have clashed more than once in the show. And when their rocky relationship was raised during the episode of the meeting, things warmed up well, and The Vixen came out. At this point, Eureka says that she knows where she stands, and that's all she can control. "I do not communicate much with The Vixen," she says. "I know we're busy and busy at the same time, and happy with what I can say, I think everyone wants to point fingers most of the time, and all I wanted to do was say," J & I acted badly. I was really embarrassed to have done so at that time, which is why I kept myself from starting again throughout the season and I want to miss out on that.
Regarding the future of Eureka, she wants to keep coming back – to the screen, that is to say. "I have the goal of being on Saturday Night Live," she says. "Honey, I want to be on TV and at the movies, that's why I did that!" For now, she has released a new single called "The Big Girl", and the clip is seriously iconic.
"The big girl will shine every day just by being me," says Eureka. "I'm tall, I'm here for jig, and I did not win this show, but I'm still here to party."
