"Everyone thought we were sinking": the Carnival cruise sinks to the side, causing panic on board
The passengers of a Carnival cruise liner who arrived in Cape Canaveral, Florida on Friday morning, are happy to be back on land.
On his last trip, the Carnival Sunshine rocked to the side, sending out plates and other objects not attached to the ground.

In a statement, a spokesman for Carnival said the ship "had been faced with a technical problem that required it to be listed for about a minute." There was never a problem with it. Safe use of the ship and our officers quickly stepped in to correct the situation. "
Passengers say the problem was much bigger than the cruise company suggests.

"Everyone thought we were sinking. The ship is on the side. What do you think about the water flowing? But that was the pool, "said one passenger.
The passengers told WESH that Carnival had offered them a credit for use on the ship, but several people said that was not enough.
Carnival also apologized for the disruption and said that the events of the evening had resumed after the Sunday night incident, and that the ship had continued its cruise in the Caribbean as planned.
