A former gang member claims to know who really killed the legendary hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur and spelled it out in a Nelflix documentary series.
Duane Keith Davis, a former gang member of The Los Angeles-based Crips, said in an interview for "Unsolved, Tupac and Biggie Murders" that it was his nephew Orlando "Baby Lane" Anderson who was killed Tupac in a car shootout in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996.

Davis stated that earlier on the day of the shooting, his nephew, also a member of the Crips, had attempted to steal a Death Row Records locket from a member of Tupac's entourage alleged to have been affiliated with the rival band Bloods. Tupac and his team reportedly beat Anderson after the incident.
Davis went on to say that later in the evening, he, Anderson, and two other people were waiting for Tupac to come out of a concert. They followed him and rolled next to the SUV in which the rapper was.

In a separate documentary on the murder, Davis revealed that he was battling an illness and wanted to confess what had happened that night. It was too late.
"I was a pivot of Compton, a drug dealer, I am the only one alive who can really tell you the story of the Tupac massacre," he said, without revealing the killer of the time. Kyle Long, the executive producer of "Unsolved, the Tupac and Biggie Murders," has called on the Las Vegas police to sue Anderson, according to the British Daily Star.
"He went live on television and confessed to being one As far as I know, the accomplice of the murder and the PD of Las Vegas are doing nothing about it," Long told the British tabloid
