I was ready to write a very optimistic column about UofL's victory over the Florida State, until quarterback Deondre Francois passes to Nyqwan Murray for 58 yards for a touchdown to the remaining minute. He was the winner of Louisville's 28-24 loss.
It was an almost immediate failure. U of L was a six-point underdog. Things have started so well for Louisville. The game started well. His much-criticized attack suddenly appeared, scoreless in the first quarter, second possession, when Jawon "Puma" Pass, who returned to work by default, validated the faith of coach Bobby Petrino, leading the Cards on a course that finished with his 14-yard touchdown run gave Louisville the lead and lead 7-0.
Pass was a different type than the one that had been deemed ineffective in two starts this season against long shots. In the second quarter, tied at 7, Pass earned a 4-yard touchdown pass to Micky Crum, which allowed Louisville to go up 14-7.

UofL lost it 28-24 for records of (2-3 / 0-2). Instead of congratulating, there are questions, like what happens next?
Louisville's performance was far from perfect. There were a lot of mistakes (like five plays of cards, two interceptions and the FSU 55-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter). There are many video and educational points that coaches can use constructively. No way, there is still a lot of work to be done.
A match is not a season, and there is a short turnaround for the next game on Friday, ACC also ran Georgia Tech. But there were many more positives despite this loss. It was a necessary step in the right direction. And despite the sorrow, it revives the hope that Louisville can still enjoy a positive 2018 season.
