ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A spa in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been closed while government officials are urging clients to submit to a number of blood-borne diseases, including HIV and hepatitis B and C, according to the media.

State inspectors opened an investigation after a VIP Spa client developed an infection, reported the Sacramento Bee. Inspectors noted problems with storing, handling and disposing of needles at the show.

A vampire face, made popular by reality TV star Kim Kardashian, is a non-surgical treatment of the skin involving the removal of a patient's blood and then the reapplication of the treated blood on the face, reported KABC- TV.

Kardashian shared an image of herself doing the procedure in 2013, but has since declared that she regrets it, according to Refinery29.
