A family returning from vacation left their five year old daughter at the airport on her return.
In scenes reminiscent of the Home Alone film franchise, the girl was left stranded Monday at Stuttgart Airport, one of Germany's busiest airports, located in the south-west of the country.
According to the Stuttgart police, several people saw the five-year-old girl walking alone in the arrival hall of the airport.
Despite numerous announcements via the airport's intercom system, no parent has arrived at the information desk to recover his lost daughter.

After the police brought the unhappy child to the police station, they received a call from his worried mother.
She explained that the family had returned from their holidays abroad and had resumed her return journey in two different cars.
