LOS ANGELES – The charismatic leader of Johnny Depp at the center of the new Fantastic Beasts suite is not inspired by President Donald Trump.
But the stars of "Crimes of Grindelwald", which J.K. Rowling wrote during the 2016 US presidential campaign, claiming that there are some similarities.
Callum Turner, who plays the older brother of Eddie Redmayne's main character, explains that the film sheds light on past and present leaders. Turner explains that the film explains how leaders can attract people with a compelling message.
The film takes place in the universe "Harry Potter". Depp's character, Gellert Grindelwald, seeks to gain power and divide the "pureblood" wizards of humans in the 1920s in Paris.
Katherine Waterston plays a magical law enforcement officer. She says that Grindelwald is much more "subtle" than the blunt president.
