Week 4 Overview

There are so many scenarios for week 4 that it could make you dizzy just trying to follow. But it's the pleasure of the NFL.

Are the Patriots 1-2 against the Dolphins 3-0? Andrew Luck can he throw the ball on the ground? Is it time to play flag football with the quarterbacks according to the rule of the pass of the passer?

Fortunately, despite some dramatic aspects, Fantasy statistics have exploded and we should have more production this week. Too bad that the & # 39; Veon Bell does not participate in the action while he is in Miami during his contractual dispute.

Man, it would be great to have Bell playing now. But it's a story for another time. Instead, let's focus on the positive.

Patrick Mahomes has suffered a rift over the course of three games and we'll see how Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen are on their first starts in the NFL. And please, do not panic yet about Patriots or Chance. Tom Brady will bounce home this week and Luck should have the chance to play a big home game against the Texans.

There should be a lot of great performances during week 4 and I hope your Fantasy teams will benefit. Know that there are two teams goodbye with Carolina and Washington.

Regarding the other teams, we will keep you informed of all departures and we will sit for this week. Good luck with your fantasy matches.

Note: Projections are provided by SportsLine.com.

Beginning of the week

Joe Mixon (knee) is expected to stay in Atlanta for the fourth week, which is great for Giovani Bernard. It's a great match against him against the Falcons.

Atlanta is leading the NFL with the most receptions allowed (36), and Bernard has five assists for 25 yards on nine targets in the third week against Carolina on his first start without Mixon. He also added 12 runs for 61 yards and one touchdown.

The Falcons have had to face Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara over the past two weeks. This duo combined 29 passes for 226 yards on 35 targets.

I do not expect Bernard to get as many passes, but Atlanta is clearly missing linebacker Deion Jones (foot) and safety Keanu Neal (ACL). And now, safety Ricardo Allen (Achilles) is also eliminated, as well as defensive lineman Takk McKinley (groin) and Derrick Shelby (groin).

Bernard has now scored at least 10 PPR points in 24 career games out of 30 with at least 15 hits after his performance last week, and he has averaged 16.8 PPR points over the past six games. He should easily get 15 more touches this week.

We will see how long Mixon will remain, but Bernard should publish a quality production in his place. And it is essential to run in all the leagues of week 4.

I'm starting Bernard on: David Johnson (vs. SEA), Kareem Hunt (DEN), Kenyan Drake (NE), Alex Collins (PIT) and Tevin Coleman (vs. CIN)

Strategist

Sleepers

  • Ryan Tannehill (NE): Tannehill enters this game 10-1 in his last 11 outings in 2016, and he plays well with at least 20 Fantasy points in his last two games against the Jets and Raiders. New England has allowed 639 passing yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in the last two games against Blake Bortles and Matthew Stafford. of these exits.
  • Case Keenum (vs. KC): Keenum started the season playing well with 25 Fantasy points against Seattle in the first week, but he has only 18 points in the last two weeks against Oakland and Baltimore. This week, he should be looking for points against the Chiefs, who allowed 1,127 passing yards, nine total touchdowns and one interception at Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger and Jimmy Garoppolo in three games.
  • Baker Mayfield (at OAK): Mayfield makes his first start in the NFL in what could be a tough place to play in the black hole in Oakland. Fortunately for him, the Raiders' defense has not been so difficult this year. Jared Goff at Week 1 and Tannehill last week, both had at least 21 Fantasy points against Oakland, and Mayfield could reach that total if he does not make mistakes. It is a good streaming option in deeper leagues.

Bust alert

I understand if you are reluctant to file Fitzpatrick. He is the only quarterback in the history of the NFL to spend at least 400 yards in three straight games. For the season, Fitzpatrick has video game statistics with 1,230 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also added 62 yards and a touchdown. He scored at least 30 fantastic points in all three games. But this could be the week when everything collapses. Maybe not to the point that Fitzpatrick becomes Fitztragic, but that could be his first week not to finish Fantasy Quarterback in 2018. The Bears will follow Fitzpatrick with their passing race, and they have 14 sacks this season. Chicago also has five interceptions and the Buccaneers play on the road a week after playing Monday night. Fitzpatrick has also Jameis Winston who is now waiting for his post after the suspension of his three matches. Tampa Bay is entitled to a bye for the fifth week. Fitzpatrick is not up to it. I consider it a low end option at best for week 4.

Running backs

Sleepers

  • James White (vs. MIA): This is more for owners of non-PPR leagues than PPR since White has at least 13 PPR points per week. But in non-PPR, White still has at least eight points a week and was the only constant in the Patriots field, given his production in the passing game. Whites had a touchdown in their previous game against the Dolphins last year, and Miami are among the league leaders in receptions allowed to turn around with 22.
  • Phillip Lindsay (vs. KC): Let's hope Lindsay keeps her hands after being ejected in Baltimore for throwing a punch. Prior to last week, Lindsay had 100 yards total in each of the first two games, with an attack hit in the first week against Seattle. With this match against the Chiefs, which should be a run-off and the Broncos likely to run after points, look for the gameplay to favor Lindsay rather than Royce Freeman.
  • Austin Ekeler (vs. SF): The 49ers are allowing the fourth-most receptions in the semi-finals, so expect Ekeler to be successful this week. He had 11 catches this season, but the third week at the Rams was the first time he had not managed to win at least 90 yards overall. He should get back on track this week as part of a tandem with Melvin Gordon.
  • Javorius Allen (at PIT): Allen's Fantasy stats have been inflated by his dives since he scored inside the red zone in all three games, but his production in the game is what interests me. He has 13 catches this season, which is tied for 10th among the semifinals, and it might be necessary this week in a match where the Ravens are chasing points on the road. Now, the Steelers lead the NFL in the smallest number of receptions allowed to turn back to eight, but Allen has caught eight in two games against Pittsburgh last year. And in his last game against the Steelers in Week 14, he scored two touchdowns.
  • Aaron Jones (vs. BUF): The two best Packers of Jones and Jamaal Williams are worthy of being used this week against the Bills. I do not buy that Buffalo has an excellent run defense after closing the Vikings last week without Dalvin Cook (hamstrings). And before last week, Buffalo had allowed five halfbacks in two games to score or win at least 90 total yards. Jones made his 2018 debut at Week 3 in Washington and made six runs for 42 yards and a 5-yard touchdown in limited play time. Look for more production this week at home.

Bust alert

I thought Crowell had a chance to become a fantastic option during the third week in Cleveland with a factor of revenge against his former team. He delivered 16 runs for 34 yards and two touchdowns and two catches for 17 yards. But now is the time to wipe the table with a new match at Week 4 at Jaguars. Crowell will likely be dependent on most weeks to help your Fantasy team, and Jacksonville has only allowed one touchdown this season against Saquon Barkley in the first week. , and I would only use Crowell as a flexible option this week in most leagues.

Wide receivers

Sleepers

  • John Brown (at PIT): Brown has scored at least 13 PPR points in all three games of the season, and he will play Pittsburgh against him this week. Since the Ravens are probably looking for points, it is preferable that Brown has at least nine targets again, which has happened in each of the last two games. The Steelers have already allowed eight receivers to score or win at least 100 receiving yards this year.
  • Chris Godwin (to CHI): We told you to write Godwin in all the leagues in the off-season and deliver quality production every week. In three games, he scored at least 13 PPR points on each outing, and he had 10 goals against the Steelers in the third week. Godwin is the No. 2 Fantasy catcher in this game in Chicago.
  • Kenny Stills (NE): Stills still does not get the targets you want to see from the # 1 receiver of the team with just 13 games for the season, but he has two games this year with at least 15 PPR points. And he faces a Patriots defense this week that allowed eight receivers to score at least 12 PPR points in just three games. Stills is a high-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver, and its value will increase if it runs after points on the road.
  • Tyler Boyd (at ATL): Boyd has been outstanding in the last two games against Baltimore and Carolina with 12 catches for 223 yards and two touchdowns on 16 targets, and he hopes not to slow down this week against Atlanta. The showdown is fantastic as the Falcons have allowed seven receivers to score or earn at least 75 yards in the last two games against Carolina and New Orleans.
  • Antonio Callaway (OAK): We hope Callaway will play well with Baker Mayfield under center, and he just had 10 targets in Week 3 against the Jets in the first game since Josh Gordon was traded to New England . He finished with just four catches for 20 yards, but a lot of big games are coming. The Raiders have allowed six receivers to score or win at least 85 rushing yards this season, which bodes well for Callaway and Jarvis Landry.

Bust Alerts

The touchdowns have been nice for Jones in each of the last two games against San Francisco and New England, but I'm concerned about his catch and his yards sharing the ground with Kenny Golladay and Golden Tate. He has not yet overtaken four times the number of catches in a game this year or 69 receiving yards, and he now has a 14-game with Golladay with more than four catches. This week, Jones will face a defense against Dallas who will award the fewest Fantasy points to the receivers. Lockett in Week 3 is the only two-digit receiver of Fantasy points, regardless of format, against the Cowboys. I still love Golladay as a starting option in all leagues, and Tate is a beginner in PPR. But Jones is the No. 3 receiver at best this week given the clash.

Tight ends

Sleepers

  • O.J. Howard (at CHI): Howard is about to have a tour season and he has been great in the last two games. He had nine catches for 168 yards and a touchdown against Philadelphia and Pittsburgh during that period, and it was good to see him win eight career goals against the Steelers. I hope this will continue, and I love Howard as one of the top 10 of Week 4 against the Bears, which allowed Will Dissly and Ricky Seals-Jones to score consecutive goals.
  • Benjamin Watson (NYG): Watson has played his best game of the season in the third week against Atlanta with five catches for 71 yards on six targets. He gets a favorable match against the Giants despite their success against tight goals so far. Austin Seferian-Jenkins had a touchdown on the Giants in the first week, and the Texans group had five assists for 115 yards against New York in the third week. Watson is a basic option in all leagues.
  • Tyler Eifert (ATL): By the time things looked grim for Eifert after two fewer games to open the season, he rebounded with a strong performance in the third week in Carolina with highs (eight) , six (6) and yards (74). With a little luck, he may remain involved in the offensive and the secondary Falcons are messy with Neal and Allen missing in high school. Eifert is worth being used as a low-end startup option this week.

Bust alert

McDonald had one of the stiffest arms in his memory when he toppled Chris Conte, the Tampa Bay security guard, on Monday night in Tampa Bay. It was a 75-yard touchdown pass and helped McDonald finish with four receptions for 112 yards and one touchdown on four targets. Without the big game, McDonald would have finished with minimal production, and we expect the Ravens to do a better job with their tackles in this game Sunday night. Baltimore also allowed only 14 passes for 136 yards and no touchdown at the tight ends of Buffalo, Cincinnati and Denver. McDonald's has a low starting call since he's playing in a big power attack, but do not be surprised if he's a day late in the stats sheet given the match with the Ravens.

Defense / Special Teams

Start them

Chargers (vs SF) – 12.9 points projected

Beathard made six starts for the 49ers in 2017, and he had six interceptions and two fumbles during that period. He has also been fired 19 times, and this Chargers defense should make things difficult for him at home. The last time the Chargers faced an attack of this caliber, it was week 1 in Buffalo, and they had two interceptions, five sacks and only allocated 20 points. The Chargers DST is one of the top three Fantasy options of Week 4.

Sleepers

  • Seahawks (at the ARI): It is not often that we use the Seahawks as DST berth, but it is there that this unit is this season. It's a big game this week, even on the road, with Rosen making his first start in the NFL. We'll see if it's better than Bradford, but this attack is struggling to start the season. I like the Seahawks' DST as one of the top three Fantasy options this week.
  • Packers (vs. BUF): I do not buy the Bills attack after winning the Minnesota win last week and they have to play two consecutive games by going to Lambeau Field. Josh Allen has been sacked 11 times in three games, and he could be subject to turnover if he continues his points as planned. Even though Green Bay is fighting on defense, Packers' DST is still in a prime position considering this home game.
  • Lions (at DAL): Dak Prescott was sacked at least five times twice this season and the first game he was not fired against was against the Giants and their low pass of week 2. The Lions have 10 sacks during the season, and they just held the Patriots to 10 points in week 3. Even on the road, the DTS Lions is a good game against the offensive Cowboys inept.

Sit Em

Vikings (at LAR) – 7.7 points screened

The Vikings DST has not been good for the last two weeks against the Packers and Bills, combining for just seven Fantasy points. Minnesota have not suffered a setback in these matches, although the defense has managed to win seven sacks. The Vikings, however, have allowed 56 points on both of these outings and now face one of the NFL's best fouls on the road. They will also be without the outstanding defender Everson Griffen (staff) and the DST Vikings have not traveled well since last season. It's a good week to evolve Vikings DSTs in the majority of leagues.

Kickers

Start them

Vinatieri has already scored at least 10 Fantasy points twice this season, and he was excellent in his last home game in the first week against Cincinnati with three goals and two more points. The Texans have allowed each opponent this season to reach several goals on the field with Stephen Gostkowski, Ryan Succop and Aldrick Rosas. All three scored at least eight fantastic points. Vinatieri have made several goals in three of their last four games against Houston, with at least eight Fantasy points in each outing.

Sleepers

  • Sam Ficken (vs. MIN): The Vikings lead the NFL with the most goals scored with 10, and the three opponents in Minnesota this year (Robbie Gould, Mason Crosby and Steven Haushka) scored several goals on the pitch. Fantastic points. Look for Ficken to follow.
  • Ka'imi Fairbairn (to IND): Fairbairn has scored at least nine Fantasy points in two of his three matches this season and he just played his best game of Week 3 against the Giants with three goals and an extra point, including a 54-yard field goal. The Colts' three kickoffs (Randy Bullock, Dustin Hopkins and Jake Elliott) made several field goals and scored at least eight fantastic points.
  • Caleb Sturgis (vs. SF): The last two opponent kicks against the 49ers (Matt Prater and Harrison Butker) scored at least eight Fantasy points, and Sturgis should follow at home. He made several field goals in his last home game against Kansas City in the first week, and the Chargers are expected to score a lot in that game.

Sit Em

Without Garoppolo, it will be difficult to trust the offensive weapons of the 49ers, including Gould. And one kicker, Hauschka, has made several field goals against the Chargers this year. The San Francisco offense should have a hard time scoring in this match, and Gould is not worthy of trust as a Fantasy kicker # 1.
