Preview of the week 6
We are still around and they will not start until the 7th week. But this week remains tough for the quarterbacks with Drew Brees and Matthew Stafford are out.
The uncertainty surrounding the performances of Russell Wilson, Carson Wentz and Andrew Luck becomes even more troubling. Fortunately, there is an elite option on the lead in more than half of the CBS leagues.
QB
Tired of watching streaming? Jameis Winston could be the reason why you stop. He is in an exceptional situation, surrounded by high-end weapons with a high-flying offensive system and one of the worst side of the league.
Winston should be involved in many shootings throughout the year. But even if you're not sold as a must-have option for the rest of the season, use it this week.
Winston faces a Falcons team with about half of his defenders available, and that's not the good half. The Falcons have allocated 27.30, 49 and 33 Fantasy points to the quarters of the last four weeks. Nick Foles is the only quarter that they have slowed down. It was during week 1, before many of their injuries. Winston is one of the top six quarters this week.
Want a little more motivation to trust Winston? Eli Manning is the second best option. Manning has scored 23 Fantasy points in two of his last three games and the Eagles defense has not been very good on the road. In fact, their high school was downright bad. The important thing to keep in mind with Manning and Carr does not belong to the top 12 of my rankings this week. If you listened to Andy Dalton these last two weeks, I'll follow him.
Derek Carr is a frustrating quarterback to understand. The number of kilometers and the efficiency of HIs seem good. But he turned the ball too much and the Raiders leaned on Marshawn Lynch in the red zone. If I were convinced that Carr was a good quarter, I would suggest that the regression of the touchdown be imminent. Fortunately, he will face a poor defense of the Seahawks this week, so it should be usable.
YOU
Like Winston, Cameron Brate could be a long-term answer to his post. At least until O.J. Howard returns. In 2017, Brate saw 14% of Winston's targets and captured 26% of the touchdowns he launched. In 2016, it was 13.7% and 25%. This match will be a shootout with Winston who will try nearly 40 passes, including 6 to 7 should go in the direction of Brate.
As you can see, it's not a bad idea to involve as many players as possible in this game Falcons / Buccaneers. Austin Hooper saw 12 of Ryan's targets in Week 5, and this looks like another game in which Ryan will have to fly to get a chance. If there had been no stray attempt by Ryan in Week 4, Hooper would have been ranked in the top 12 in three of his last four games.
Dalton and C.J. Uzomah were disappointing streamers in the fifth week, but that was more due to the fact that their defense had scored two touchdowns before anything else. Uzomah receives another boost this week due to an injury to Tyler Kroft. I would expect Uzomah to participate in almost 100% of Bengal shots and Dalton is forced to throw more than 30 pass attempts in the fifth week.
Summer time
Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Packers' defense has holes, but I'm relying on Lambeau. Especially during prime time, and even more so when the Packers face C.J. Beathard.
Cleveland Browns against the Los Angeles Chargers
Did you know that the Browns are the No. 3 defense of Fantasy points scored this season? In one way or another, they are still only 40%. The Chargers are a very good attack, but I do not expect them to be so effective in a game that starts at 10 am.
New York Jets against the Colts of Indianapolis
The Jets have also been a surprisingly good defense this year, and the Colts are scrawny. I guess they'll be without T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle again this week.
K
Fairbairn continues to be underrated, but it's an excellent play this week with a positive gameplay and a foul that has struggled in the red zone.
Catanzaro is in a shootout in a dome, and Gano is a good kicker who remains under-owned because of his bye of the week 4.
So who should you sit down and start? And what shocking QB could you win in week 6? Now head over to SportsLine for the Fantasy Football ranking for each position and see what QB shocked in the top 10 this week, all from the model that beat the experts in strength last season.
