Devonta Freeman is in the injured reserve

The Falcons' wounds continue. We had more about it yesterday, but here is the version of CliffsNotes:

  • The fantastic season of Freeman is over; you can let him down.
  • Tevin Coleman becomes a weekly start as No. 2 or flex runner, but will share with Ito Smith.
  • Smith is still available in 47% of leagues and should be added in virtually any format. He's a low-end as long as Coleman stays healthy, but becomes a must if Coleman breaks down.

Marshawn Lynch is not sure after the bye

This kind of spell came from nowhere, but it seems that the Raiders fear that Lynch is missing for several weeks. The interesting thing about this is that it happened before the "Raiders", so we may not know at least a week how bad this is and no one will rush to the quit line to add his replacements.

I used a plural, because it would create another committee, which is already the case. Jalen Richard dominated the action when the Raiders are down, which seems to be most of the second half. In PPR, he could be in the top 25 if Lynch was out. A majority of the deductions would likely go to Doug Martin, who has not been great so far, but could take advantage of a role including a goal-line work.

For the moment, Richard and Martin are leading players, but they could become more relevant next week.

In other news:

Josh Allen is going miss at least the next two weeks This means that bills start either Nathan Peterman or Derek Anderson. This means that you definitely start the Colts defense in the 7th week.

Greg Zuerlein is back … He is still available in 21% of the leagues, so take a look in case.

Rishard Matthews worked for the JetsMatthews seems to want to play, and the Jets could use it after the injuries suffered by Terrelle Pryor and Quincy Enunwa. Again, the Browns and Cowboys could too. I do not mind putting Matthews in a league of 14 or more teams.

Falcons signed Giorgio Tavecchio Desperate for a kicker? You could do worse than a guy who plays indoors in one of the most memorable games of the weekend. Of course, if any of these banners are available, you could also do better.
