More Week 8
Editor's Note: Welcome to Week 8! We are dealing with the column Start & Em & Sit & # 39; Em from Jamey Eisenberg a little differently this season. You always get the same in-depth analysis as you always do, we just present a little differently, in order to get it to you earlier in the day. This article takes a lot of time to write and in the past we usually sent it to you at night. This year, we will publish it position by position to put it quickly in your hands. Here is Jamey's point of view on the halves for this week.
Do not worry: if you want the classic Start & Em & Sit & # 39; Em, we'll publish it anyway at the end of the day, with each post included. For the moment, here is the turning back.
Running backs
Note: Projections are provided by SportsLine.com.
Sleepers
- Raheem Mostert (ARI): If Matt Breida (ankle) is absent this week, consider Mostert as a must-have option against the Cardinals, who award the most Fantasy points to opponents. Mostert can even be a flexible option if Breida plays. In the last two games against Green Bay and the Rams, Mostert has had 19 runs for 146 yards and four catches for 19 yards.
- Chris Ivory (vs. NE): If LeSean McCoy (concussion) is absent, consider Ivory as a flexible option at least against the Patriots, who have allowed eight halfbacks to score or win at least 90 total yards this season. In two games this year where McCoy was absent or leaving early – Week 3 in Minnesota and last week in Indianapolis – Ivory earned at least 13 PPR points, with more than 100 rushing yards and three catches on each outing.
- Jalen Richard (vs. IND): Richard and Doug Martin will now lead the Oakland backfield with Marshawn Lynch (groin) on the injured reserve, and I like Richard better, especially in PPR. He has scored at least 11 PPR points in four out of six games and has already 31 catches for 253 yards on 37 targets. He has no more than five races in a game this year, and he has never gone over nine races in a game in three years, but his role is expected to expand now. And Indianapolis have already allowed six semis to score or earn at least 90 rushing yards this year, and the Colts are tied for second in the NFL in number of receptions allowed to run with 49.
- Kenjon Barner (at BUF): We will see what will happen with Sony Michel (his knee) and his availability for the eighth week in Buffalo, but if it goes as planned, Barner could play an increased role in collaboration with James White, one must start running in all the leagues. With Michel injured in Week 7 in Chicago, Barner racked up 10 races for 36 yards. It's worth using this flexible option this week against the Bills, which allow the eleventh largest number of Fantasy points to be opposed to the semi-finals of the season.
- Ronald Jones (CIN): We do not know the availability this week for Peyton Barber (undisclosed), who was injured in the 7th week in overtime against the Browns. But if he is absent, look for Jones to get a heightened workload and have the chance to make his best game of the season. He scored his first touchdown in the NFL against Cleveland, and he will face a Bengals team in the eighth week, allowing eight halfbacks to score or earn at least 90 yards. If Barber is absent, use Jones as a flexibility option in all leagues.
Bust alert
Hyde will debut with the Jaguars at Week 8 in London, and he should share contacts with T.J. Yeldon. It will probably be the last match before Leonard Fournette's return (hamstring), but I'm not expecting a great performance from Hyde. The Eagles are third in the NFL with the fewest Fantasy points allowed to run on defense, and only two of them have scored against Philadelphia this year. With the Browns, Hyde relied on the touchdown for his Fantasy value – he had at least 11 PPR points in all four games he had scored and nine points or less in both games where he had failed to find the area. Goals – and we do not know how he will have a lot of contacts this week. I still love Yeldon better this week, especially considering the role that he should play in the passing game, and Hyde should at best be considered a flexible option.
