Preview of the week 10

I made an interesting exchange this week in one of my guardian leagues. This is a project I would never have expected when I formed this team in mid-August.

I exchanged The & # 39; Veon Bell for Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

It's probably as shocking to read as to write. And I made the offer. Nobody forced me to do this business. But that must have happened.

My team is 3-5-1 and hangs up on the slim hopes of making the Fantasy playoffs in this 12-team PPR league. I needed the help of the receiver with DeAndre Hopkins and, as you will read below, I love the prospects for Valdes-Scantling this week and go from the front right now that Geronimo Allison (groin) is out. I can also keep Valdes-Scantling next season for a 13th round pick.

Unless I make the fantasy playoffs, Bell would not help me this season, and he is not eligible for maintenance. If he shows up at the 11th week and that he is on the list of exemptions for two weeks, he will be able to play at the earliest in the 13th week. He also risks not reporting next week and not playing this year.

He paralyzed my fantasy lineup after I ranked him second in the overall standings, and I know that has happened to a lot of you. If you can trade against a team that is heading to the fantasy playoffs, I encourage you to try to make a deal. Find someone who can help you now.

And a team vying for the playoffs should try to acquire it, without giving up too much. If he's back and has the chance to share his playing time with James Conner, or maybe replace him, which is a long attack, he could still help you compete for a Fantasy Championship.

I did not want to trade Bell. That's why I have withheld so long. But that was the moment. And my team is doing better, especially with Valdes-Scantling on the rise.

Editor's Note: Projections are provided by CBS Sports and not by Jamey Eisenberg. The projected points concern PPR leagues.

Beginning of the week

My only fear with Aaron Jones this week is that he missed the 9th week in New England. I hope that it is not punished by coach Mike McCarthy, but I expect it to go well.

I'm also expecting it to be dominant.

He played well against the Patriots in the first game without Ty Montgomery with 14 carries for 76 yards (5.4 yards per run), as well as two catches for 10 yards on a high target of four targets. Jamaal Williams still has contacts with Jones, but Williams had only nine contacts in total against New England and has had no more than eleven total contacts since the second week.

Jones now has 14 total hits in two straight games, which should be good against the Dolphins. Miami enters this game by awarding the sixth highest number of Fantasy points to the opponents.

Before last week against the Jets, the Dolphins had allowed an offensive midfielder to score in every game of the season, and another ten scored or earned at least 100 yards total this year. While the Jets struggled, I do not expect the same thing to happen to Jones.

Green Bay has just suffered two defeats on the road against the Rams and the Patriots, and I'm waiting for an offensive blast at Lambeau Field. Las Vegas also expects the Packers to win this game by more than one touchdown, so it should be possible for Jones to help kill the clock in the fourth quarter if that is true.

As long as Jones is not punished for his fumble against New England, he should be great. And I like it as a No. 1 runner in non-PPR leagues and a solid No. 2 option in PPR.

I'm starting over Jones: Tarik Cohen (against DET), Sony Michel (at TEN), Leonard Fournette (at IND), Adrian Peterson (at TB) and Mark Ingram (at CIN)

quarterbacks

Sleepers

  • Baker Mayfield (vs. ATL): Mayfield has scored at least 21 Fantasy points in two of his last three games, and averaged 20.6 points over that period. In the first match of interim offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens against Kansas City, Mayfield collected 297 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception, and it's worth being used as a broadcast option during the 10th week against Atlanta. The Falcons grant an average of 27.3 Fantasy points per game to the quarterbacks, and they have allocated at least 18 points to each passer in the second week.
  • Blake Bortles (to IND): Bortles has been bad this season and could be suspended at any time. But he has still scored at least 21 Fantasy points in three of his last five games. And he faces a Colts defense that allows an average of 21.3 Fantasy points to the opposite quarters this year. In addition, in his last five games against the Colts, Bortles averaged 279 passing yards, with nine touchdowns and no interceptions, including 21 runs for 112 yards, two touchdowns and five interceptions.
  • Eli Manning (at SF): Manning was not a good Fantasy quarterback this year, but he did his best on the road. In his last three road games in Houston in Week 3, Carolina in Week 5 and Atlanta in Week 7, Manning scored at least 21 Fantasy points on each outing. This week, he will face a defense of 49 players allowing an average of 22.8 Fantasy points per game in the opposite quarters. Manning is also averaging 20.5 Fantasy points in his last four games after a start.

Bust alert

I do not expect Brees to play badly. Rather the opposite. I just do not expect him to make a big Fantasy outing against the Bengals. The Saints can beat Cincinnati with their running game and their defense, much like we saw from New Orleans during the eighth week in Minnesota, when Brees had eight Fantasy points. In his last three road games against the Giants, Ravens and Vikings, Brees averaged just 12.0 Fantasy points per game. He scored 20 Fantasy points against the Ravens, and that's the fork in which I would place it. It's not one that I would call straightforward in most leagues, but I would have some caution to start it. It does not look like a shootout with the Bengals playing without Green, and Brees might not be doing much of the effort in this game.

Running backs

Sleepers

  • Elijah McGuire (vs. BUF): McGuire played 13 times more than Isaiah Crowell (36-23) during the 9th week in Miami. He did a good job during his debut in 2018 after a foot injury. He had seven passes for 30 yards and three catches for 37 yards on five targets. McGuire entered the role of Bilal Powell since he has a neck injury and he can play a useful role in the 10th week against the Bills, which allowed a half-offensive to score three consecutive games .
  • Josh Adams (vs. DAL): The Eagles might well start their farewell week with Adams as their lead after the way he played in the eighth week against Jacksonville in London. He led the team in litters (nine) and rushing yards (61) against the Jaguars, while adding a shot for 6 yards on seven targets. Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement will not go away, just as Darren Sproles (hamstring) should turn around, but Adams is worth being used as flex in the deeper leagues. In addition, the Cowboys did not stop Sean Lee (hamstring) this week.
  • T.J. Yeldon (to IND): Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to play this week for the first time since week 4, and Carlos Hyde will also be touched. But there is still expectation that Yeldon will continue to play, and he has at least five catches in four of his last six games. He also has four receiving touchdowns on the season. Yeldon is still worth using as a PPR flex option, and the Colts allow the third party to receive the most riders of the season.
  • Jalen Richard (vs. LAC): Like most Raiders, Richard had a bad game during the ninth week in San Francisco. He only managed four catches for 45 yards on four targets and scored only eight PPR points after accumulating at least 11 PPR points three times in a row. He should get back on track this week while Oakland should run after points against the Chargers. And the Chargers allowed an offensive midfielder to score at least 11 PPR points with only their total cashing in four consecutive games, including the fifth week when Richard made six catches for 53 yards. It is a solid flex in PPR.
  • Ito Smith (CLE): Smith scored a touchdown during the fifth week in Washington during his last five outings to Washington. He also added 10 runs for 60 yards, as well as a jack for 4 yards. He plays well in tandem with Coleman and you can use Smith as a flexible option during the 10th week in Cleveland. The Browns are averaging more than 170 rushing yards in the season. So there is enough production for Coleman and Smith this week.

Bust alert

In a game against Minnesota in Week 9 and the return of Theo Riddick (knee) after a two-game absence, Johnson had his worst performance since Week 1 with just six PPR points. He had 12 runs for 37 yards and three catches for 7 yards on five targets. He should do better in Chicago, but it may not be much. Keep in mind that Johnson has only one touchdown of the season, during the fourth week in Dallas. And the Bears have not yet touched the back on the ground this year. Chicago also allowed a single offensive midfielder to win more than 60 rushing yards this season, which was Frank Gore in Week 6. Johnson is a flex option at best this week.

Wide receivers

Sleepers

  • Anthony Miller (vs. DET): Allen Robinson (groin) and Taylor Gabriel (leg) are injured, which could mean a lot of targets for Miller this week. He has scored at least nine PPR points in three of his last four games and could be a flexible PPR option this week. The Lions have awarded seven touchdowns to receivers in their last four games.
  • Tyrell Williams (at OAK): Williams has scored three times in a row, with four touchdowns during this period, and it's worth being used as a flex in most leagues. His touchdown series started after facing the Raiders in Week 5, but he still managed three catches for 66 yards on three targets in that game. Williams will not catch a lot of passes – his high season in front is four – but he's lucky enough to play big. And based on his recent record, he deserves to trust Oakland.
  • Tyler Lockett (at LAR): Lockett did not score in Day 9 against the Chargers, but it's only the second game where he failed to find the goal zone this year . He scored against the Rams in their first encounter with three catches for 98 yards on five targets, and the Rams have allocated eight touchdowns to the receivers in their last five games.
  • Christian Kirk (at KC): Prior to the Arizona draw in Week 9, Kirk had scored at least 13 PPR points in four of his previous six games. He has had two touchdowns in his last four outings, and he is expected to continue to strengthen his relationship with Josh Rosen, even as No. 2 receiver behind Larry Fitzgerald. We hope that Spring Break has helped the Cardinals' offensive. Byron Leftwich has now called the room. Kirk could find a production in the time lost with the Cardinals likely to score points this week against the Chiefs.
  • Maurice Harris (vs. TB): Harris should have a key role to play in Washington now that Paul Richardson (shoulder) is missing for the season, as well as Jamison Crowder (ankle) getting hurt. And Harris comes out of a strong game of the 9th week against Atlanta. He had 10 catches for 124 yards on 12 targets, and this could be a sign of the future. He had a great game in the 10th week in Tampa Bay, and the Buccaneers are No. 2 Fantasy points allocated to the receivers. Fifteen receivers managed to score or win at least 100 yards passing against Tampa Bay this year.

Bust alert

In two games since returning from a two-game absence with a hamstring injury, Hilton has caught five catches for 59 yards and two touchdowns on nine targets against Buffalo and Oakland. Fortunately, he scored twice against the Bills in Week 7, otherwise he would have crushed the owners of Fantasy with his recent production. It will be better in the future, but it's a tough match against the Jaguars. While Jalen Ramsey will be at his side, Hilton could have another match with minimal production in the 10th week. He is not really sitting in most leagues, but he is not an option to ignore this game with Jacksonville either.

Tight ends

Sleepers

  • Vance McDonald (vs. CAR): The Panthers are posting the most Fantasy points at the tight ends of Week 10, which bodes well for McDonald, who will play a solid game this week. He has not scored since the 3rd week and he only has one match with double digit points in PPR points over this period. But based on the game, McDonald is lucky to be a low-end starter in most leagues. In Carolina's last three games against Philadelphia, Baltimore and Tampa Bay, the Panthers have allowed four tight ends to score or win at least 100 yards.
  • Benjamin Watson (at CIN): Watson has now scored at least 15 PPR points in two of his last three games, and we hope this will be the beginning of a solid second half for him. It might be difficult to trust him in games where the Saints do not pitch a lot, and he was a victim of this scenario during the eighth week in Minnesota while Drew Brees had only attempted 23 passes. This could happen during week 10 in the Bengals, but Cincinnati was awful against tight sleeves all year round. I suggest using it as a streaming option. The Bengals have allowed three tight ends to score or earn at least 95 yards in the last two games against Kansas City (Travis Kelce and Demetrius Harris) and Tampa Bay (Howard).
  • Austin Hooper (CLE): Hooper has scored at least seven PPR points in four consecutive games, giving him a respectable floor, especially in a favorable duel. And that's the case here with the Browns who deal with injuries in their high school. Last week, Travis Kelce scored seven catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns against the Browns on nine targets. Hooper could play well this week on the road.

Bust alert

Now that Doyle is back, Ebron will probably have to score to help your Fantasy team. Fortunately, he has scored in every game except two this season, but his goals have begun to decline in the last three games before the 10th week. He has combined only 17 goals over this period, and he has only six catches for 68 yards and touched in his last two outings against Buffalo and Oakland. I still consider Ebron as a low-end starting option this week against Jacksonville, but his value could go in the wrong direction now that Doyle is healthy again.

Defense / Special Forces

Start them

Chargers (at OAK) – 11.6 Projected Points

The Chargers DST played a nice game against the Seahawks in the ninth week, which augurs well for the game of the tenth week against the Raiders. The Chargers had a defensive score, as well as four sacks against Seattle with an interception, and this defense should be able to devour the Raiders. Oakland has only scored three points for the second time in his last three games of Week 9 against San Francisco, and the 49ers have dismissed Derek Carr eight times. The chargers are my hour hour No. 1 for the 10th week.

Sleepers

  • Packers (vs. MIA): The Dolphins enter this game with an average of only 19.0 points in their last three games, and they have allocated 10 sacks in total over this period. This bodes well for the Packers defense, who could play a game after battling the Rams and Patriots for two weeks in a row. Consider the DST Packers as an excellent streaming option in week 10.
  • Jets (vs. BUF): We still do not know who will start at quarterback for the Bills this week, but that should not matter to the Jets DST. They are a great streaming option in all leagues. The bills allowed 33 sacks and 22 turnovers (16 interceptions and six fumbles), and they scored only 96 points over the year. The Jets had four sacks in Miami in the 9th week.
  • Chefs (vs. ARI): I hope the Cardinals' offensive will look better after they leave the 9th week, but they should still be a good showdown for the DST Chiefs this week. The Cardinals have allocated 13 bags in their last three games, as well as five interceptions and four fumbles. Arizona also scored an average of 15.0 points over this period.

Sit Em

Seahawks (at LAR) – 8.2 points projected

The last time the DST Seahawks faced the Rams in the fifth week, the unit scored just five Fantasy points, even with two interceptions. In addition, Seattle had no setbacks and two sacks against the Chargers in Week 9 while awarding 25 points. The Rams have only two games this season, where Jared Goff was fired over two timekeepers and had only six interceptions the year. It's a bad week to trust the DST Seahawks on the road.

Kicker

Start them

Gould has scored at least 10 Fantasy points in two of his last four games, including 10 points in Week 9 against Oakland. The Giants enter this game after scoring several goals in every game this season, and five kickers scored two points in Fantasy points against them this year. The Giants lead the NFL with the most Fantasy points allowed to opposing kickers this season.

Sleepers

  • Michael Badgley (OAK): Badgley is back in the game against the Chargers after Caleb Sturgis fought in the 9th week in Seattle. In two games in place of a wounded Sturgis at Week 6 in Cleveland and Week 7 against Tennessee, Badgley combined for three goals and seven more points. He should have plenty of chances to score against the Raiders this week.
  • Adam Vinatieri (vs. JAC): Vinatieri has scored at least 10 Fantasy points in two of three home games this year, and 10 points in his last game against Oakland in week eight. He also scored at least nine Fantasy points in three. of his last five meetings with the Jaguars.
  • Josh Lambo (IND): The Colts are second behind the Giants in most Fantasy points allocated to opposing kickers. Five kickers have scored several times on the field against Indianapolis this year. Lambo has just finished its best game of the week in Week 8 against the Eagles in London with four goals, including two to at least 50 yards.

Sit Em

Prater scored three goals in camp during the 9th week in Minnesota, but he scored just nine Fantasy points as the Lions failed to find the end zone. He has had only one game with double-digit points in Fantasy points in his last five outings, and it may be hard for Detroit to score this week in Chicago. The Bears award the third lowest number of Fantasy points to opposing kickers. Only Jason Sanders in Week 6 has scored several times on the field against Chicago this year.
