Prime Minister Imran Khan decided to expand the federal cabinet by inducting four new members.
Omar Ayub Khan, Ali Zaidi, Mian Muhammad Soomro and Murad Saeed have been inducted as federal government ministers, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office. Omar Ayub Khan was appointed Minister of Energy, Ali Zaidi received the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Mian Muhammad Soomro, from the Ministry of Privatization, while Murad Saeed's portfolio would be announced later. Newly enthroned ministers should take the oath after the swearing-in of newly elected President Arif Alvi.
