The two FEMA Emergency Test Alerts were aired as planned this morning, one at 11:18 am and another at 11:20 am.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, which tests two of its emergency notification systems on the country, has hit about 225 million mobile phones, as well as television screens, from one sea to another. The public warning system apparently functioned as well as federal officials wanted.
At the touch of a button – and under the direction of President Trump – an alert will be sent Wednesday on the cell phones of almost all Americans.
People can not withdraw from the new alert. https://t.co/gwfuozAUIR

But then, in the minutes following the end of the second alert, the Twittersphere lit up like a Christmas tree.
Wednesday's test may be over. But the reaction was just beginning.

I hope the next #PresidentialAlert is to warn us before he makes fun of a survivor of sexual abuse. In this way, I can destroy my TV preventively.
