The vast majority of major manufacturers lost sales last month. On the other hand, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has managed to increase sales significantly.

In fact, the automaker had its best sales of September in 18 years.

The manufacturer's sales reached 199,819 vehicles in September. Compared with sales in September 2017, this represents a 15% increase in sales.

In fact, Fiat Chrysler managed to outdo Ford for the first time in 11 years. Ford was able to deliver only 197,404 vehicles in September.

Jeep Cherokee 2019

In a short time, the Cherokee went from a sales assignment to a power plant

The Jeep brand was at the forefront of FCA's commercial supremacy. Jeep sales increased by 14%, with a total of 83,764 vehicles sold.

The Cherokee continued its upward sales growth in September, with sales up 87%. Wrangler sales remained relatively stable, with a 2% increase.

Ram also experienced an increase in sales. Ram brand sales increased 9% last month.

According to some sources, the Ram 1500 would have managed to sell less than the Chevrolet Silverado in the last two months. The introduction of the next generation of the Ram 1500 certainly has something to do with this performance.

2016 Dodge Grand Caravan Headlights

Fleet sales tripled sales of the Dodge Grand Caravan

The most surprising turn of events may be the success of Dodge sales last month. In total, Dodge sales increased by 41%.

Of course, much of this commercial success can be attributed to fleet purchases. These transactions resulted in a 344% increase in sales for the Dodge Grand Caravan.

Unfortunately for Dodge, its sales are still down for the whole of the year. Nevertheless, with a loss of sales of just 2% in one year, Dodge still has time to recover.

Chrysler is the only major FCA brand to lose sales last month.

The Chrysler brand is not doing as well. Sales fell 7% in September, down 12% from the beginning of the year.

Even the Pacifica lost sales in September, suffering a slight loss of 2%. It seems that the success of the Grand Caravan has in some respects hurt his counterpart of the Chrysler van.

The future of Fiat is rather dark

As for the Fiat brand, the situation does not look very good for its future in the United States. FCA has managed to sell 12,084 Fiat vehicles so far this year, representing a 43% drop in sales.

Alfa Romeo, on the other hand, things are going very well, thanks to the Stelvio SUV. Stelvio sales increased by 163% in September.

Even brands like Alfa Romeo rely on SUVs to succeed

By the end of September, FCA had delivered 1,679,983 vehicles to its customers. Despite adverse weather conditions and rising gas prices, FCA ended the third quarter of the year with a strong commercial performance.
