FIFA has initiated disciplinary proceedings against two officials of the German team who stormed the Swedish bench, gesturing and clapping after the victory of the reigning world champion in the last match of the champions of Saturday's World Cup.

"The FIFA Disciplinary Committee opened disciplinary proceedings against German officials Ulrich Voigt and Georg Behlau for incidents at the end of the match Germany vs. Sweden," FIFA said in a statement.
The incident was taken on camera and quickly became viral while promoting angry reactions from the Swedish coach and players. Sweden's Emil Forsberg described Germany's behavior as "disgusting".
German coach Joachim Low said he was unaware of the incident.
The DFB declined to comment on the case when it was contacted several times by Reuters on Sunday. He on Saturday apologized to the Swedes on Twitter, but he did not say he would take action against his own employees.
The DFB, which proposed to host Euro 2024, also did not specify whether it had withdrawn its accreditation or whether it would be part of its field team in its last Group F match against Korea South on June 27th.
