Lugari MP Ayub Savula, who was arrested on Friday for fraudulently securing 122 million shillings from the government's advertising agency (GAA), is the latest addition to the growing list of deputies on the wrong side of the law.
The cases against members of the 12th legislature are active in the courts of the country and range from allegations of corruption, violation of the Constitution and the 2012 law on ethics and integrity, while others are subject to charges of inducement to violence and subversion of the law.

Double tragedy: two children stained in mourning on the day of the burial
It was a double tragedy for Francis Waiganjo's family after the desecration of their nieces, the mourning and burial of their beloved.
Waiganjo said Sunday that a suspect, a well-known police person, had stained his elderly niece's four and a half and two years respectively.
"We were crying our aunt when the first incident occurred.The second incident occurred on the day of the burial," he told the Star on the phone.

Gideon Moi spends the weekend in Raila's court and agrees to work with the former prime minister
On Sunday, four ODM deputies told Baringo Senator, Gideon Moi, that he was on the right track, the opposition leader, Raila Odinga.

Diaspora remittances up 41.9% to net annual record of Sh255 billion
Kenyans abroad sent 215.6 million dollars (21.6 billion shillings) home in August, bringing the annual amount of funds sent by the diaspora to 2.5 billion dollars or 255 billion shillings.
The latest data from the Central Bank of Kenya show that average monthly inflows continued their upward trend, reaching $ 212 million (21.2 billion shillings) in the 12 months to August 2018, as against $ 150 million (15 billion shillings) over a similar period in 2017, or 41.3 percent growth.
Cumulative 12-month receipts up to August 2018 increased by 41.9% from $ 179.7 billion to $ 2555 billion last year.

Somalis of Kenya are pawns under the terrorist reign of Al Shabaab
