Firefighters battle a 7-alarm fire at Fenway

Firefighters are battling a seven-alarm fire in the Fenway neighborhood, officials said.

The fire broke out at 3:17 pm Saturday in a residential building located at 104 Hemenway Street, according to a tweet from the Boston Fire Department.

No injuries were reported, according to one tweet posted at 16h

"Heavy fire" has been reported on the upper floors of the building, officials said.

The Boston police are on the scene "directing and assisting in traffic," said spokesman Stephen McNulty.

Northeastern University Police warned people
to avoid the area.

No additional information was immediately available.
