Raytheon has developed the program of DARPA (Advanced Defense Research Agency Pentagon), which plans to use automated missile production lines for the mass production of large numbers of tiny satellites and relatively inexpensive, explained the statement.
Finally, a SeeMe constellation can include several types of miniature satellites, each lasting one to five years, before being de-orbited and burned, leaving no space debris and causing no risk of re-entry, the statement said.
DARPA plans to launch the first SeeMe satellite on a Space X payload early next year, giving military users a chance to evaluate the unit's performance, according to the release.
