First year Duke in heat against Kentucky

[ad_1]

Duke's freshman class is one of the most passionate in the history of the academic world.

A match coming, and they already surpass this buzz.

R.J. Barrett, Cameron Reddish and Zion Williamson led the Duke's number 4 in a rout between Washington, Number 2, between 118 and 84, which looked more like a Harlem Globetrotters show than a basketball shock.

Duc freshmen live to the hype and then some

The freshmen led the way, scoring points and highlighting the reels to confirm their presence as a team to watch in college basketball this year.

Perhaps the best known of the three men for his technical prowess, Williamson has had the opportunity to show his talents at the edge of the track from the start.

But Barrett is considered the top of the class and showed why with a quick break for one man.

They scored from all angles – in transition, in midfield and at distance.

Duke trio dominates the score

The three first-year students combined scored 83 of Duke's 118 points.

Barrett dominated with 33 points to go with six assists and four rebounds. Reddish scored 22 points, three assists, two rebounds and four interceptions. Williamson had 28 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

And for fear of not being labeled as a great transition enthusiast, he punctuated his night with this dunk crossed in pointing.

All of this was against a Kentucky team that was competing in a national championship. Kentucky's last-worst defeat under John Calipari was 30 points against Tennessee in 2013. It's now a feather in Duke's cap.

If this is the sign of the future, Duke could even exceed the expectations of the season.
