LOS ANGELES – The 49ers fell to the Los Angeles Chargers, 29-27, Sunday afternoon. After leading 14-0, the Chargers slowly reduced the deficit and took the lead in the third quarter. The 49ers fought back, but two expensive turnarounds ruined their chances of victory, putting them at a score of 1 to 3 per year.

The 49ers overcame injuries and incidents at the right time to give themselves a chance

Mistakes and missed tackles continue to weigh on defense
The 49ers entered Sunday, leaving nearly 67% of touchdowns in the red zone. They allowed only two touchdowns in five outings in the red zone on Sunday, but both appeared to be preventable.
