Flash Flood Warning issued for Ashtabula County after Tornado Warning expires

A Tornado Warning has been dropped for Ashtabula County, but a Flash Flood Warning has now been issued for the same area until 9:30 p.m.

The Tornado Warning expired aroung 3:15 p.m. It has since shifted to Western Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for Ashtabula, Jefferson, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana Counties. It is not supposed to expire until 11 p.m.

Kent State University’s official Twitter account tweeted that a tornado was spotted by the NWS in Ashtabula County:

The NWS says a confirmed tornado was located near Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania at 3:05 p.m.

In addition to the possible tornadoes, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has also been issued until 10 p.m. for the following counties:

  • Ashland
  • Carroll
  • Geauga
  • Lake
  • Medina
  • Portage
  • Richland
  • Stark
  • Summit
  • Tuscarawas
  • Wayne
