A Florida couple said they found a hidden camera pointing to the bed in their cabin during a Carnival cruise in the Caribbean.

Chris and Dana White told Inside Edition that they had discovered a recording device among the television feeds in their booth aboard the Carnival Fantasy during a three-day Caribbean cruise in the United States. October 2017 from Mobile, in the Ala.

"It was plugged. It worked. It was warm to the touch, "said Chris White in an interview broadcast on Monday. "I immediately felt as if we had been invaded. Our privacy had been invaded. "

The couple called security and Chris White filmed with his mobile phone an employee of a cruise ship dismounted the aircraft.

In a statement to NBC News, Carnival Cruise said a "small video emitter" had been found after a thorough investigation by the ship's team. The ship's technicians examined the device and determined that it was not connected to a power source and that it was unable to register, the cruise company said.

Carnival said it handed the device to the FBI for further inspection.

"It's certainly a unique and unusual event and it's hard to know who or why this transmitter was placed in the guest's booth," the company said. "The safety of our guests and our team is of paramount importance and we have taken steps to prevent this kind of situation from happening again."
