What started as a big week for Tiger Woods has just become a little more interesting.

Woods, having been chosen as captain by Jim Furyk for the US Ryder Cup team earlier this week, caught fire on Thursday at the BMW Championship. Woods shot an 8-under 62 and is tied for the lead with Rory McIlroy.

The storms are expected to hit the area Friday afternoon, the departure times have been increased by several hours. Woods will be with Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler at 8:06 am ET.

Woods entered the week in 25th place in the FedExCup rankings and needs a strong week to stay in the top 30 to qualify for the Tour Championship in two weeks, the last round of the PGA Tour season. . But Thursday's hot start placed it well to do just that.

Now the question becomes: can he win his first event on the PGA Tour since 2013? Follow each hole of Tiger's second round here to see how he follows his first-round masterpiece.

HOLE 5: By 3

The first hitch for Tiger Woods comes on the fifth hole. His tee shot at the court par 3 was very short and in the front bunker. He nearly hit the bunker but slid more than four feet in front of the cup. And Tiger then took out the four feet for the bet, patting for his first boguey of the day. He is now +1 in the day and 7 in the tournament, four strokes back.

HOLE 4: By 4

The Tiger driver is back in action, this one blew 313 yards in the driveway. That left him just over 150 yards on the spit and he stuck his shot at 18 feet. But as for the first three holes, the birdie attempt slid right after the hole. Yet another tap-in for par. Where his putter was magic in the first round, he has not yet taken off on Friday. He is still the same day, 8 under the tournament.

HOLE 3: By 4

Tiger took the pilot back to the fairway on No. 3, pushing him 300 meters from the point. That left him 146 yards into the hole and he hit his approach in the middle of the green, 20 feet from the cut. He seemed to have misread the putt and he overtook the right side of the cup and he still hit the podium. Nothing exciting so far for Woods, but nothing negative either. Always tied for the heat and 8 under the total. Currently tied with Justin Thomas, behind Rory McIlory and leader Xander Schauffele.

HOLE 2: By 4

Tiger's run on the second was a bit bumpy, finding a fairway bunker and leaving it just within 100 yards of the hole. His bunker shot came just before the green, but Woods shot the ball from that position and nearly put him away for a birdie. Instead, he will settle for a tap-in and his second consecutive pair to begin his tour. (Even during the day, 8 sub total)

HOLE 1: By 4

Tiger blew his opening of the day on the right side of the fairway, ending up a little over 130 yards from the flag. His approach was a bit short and left him over 37 feet for the birdie. His birdie attempt failed and left him 6 feet for his par, which he confidently drained to score a par (4) on the first hole. He remains 8 under normal in the overall standings, two strokes from the leader Xander Schauffele.
