Football fans in Alabama have embarrassing expectations. You hate to see it

I could be a wanted man in Alabama after this weekend.

As we all know, the Crimson Tide was not really impressive for much of the game against the Citadel. Eventually, they moved away and I was surprised to see the fans of Alabama so happy.

Why would Alabama fans be excited to beat the citadel? They should be disappointed with a win of less than 100 points. I fleet this idea, and the kickback was quick. (RELATED: The last AP University football Survey Arrived. Does the number two surprise you?

Naturally, the fans were very rational and weighted with their responses to my very serious tweet.

You just hate to see that from what was once the proudest of proud college football programs. Now, they celebrate defeating the FCS teams who tied them up at half-time.

As I said, you just hate to see something like this. Do you really think Michigan would celebrate victory over an FCS program? What about Oklahoma? My Badgers? I did not mean it. Apparently, this is reserved for teams playing Tuscaloosa under the direction of Nick Saban.

I thought that Alabama was supposed to be the pinnacle of success. They are supposed to be above all noise. Well, triggering on Twitter is hardly above the noise. Remember, the facts do not care about your feelings.

Maybe the tide will win everything. Who knows, but I hope that they will start behaving like a championship program if they expect to be treated as such.

It's a pity. What an embarrassing fall we all witnessed.
