BALTIMORE – Officials confirmed it was a tornado that tore an Amazon distribution warehouse in Baltimore, killing two men who worked for outside employers.
The National Weather Service announced that the Friday night tornado was blowing at a top speed of 169 km / h and that it was traveling 4 km through Baltimore.
The tornado also flew over a semitrailer on Interstate 95 and drove garage doors into a van rental center.
The storm ripped part of the roof of the Amazonian building, including iron rafters. This caused the collapse of concrete panels along a wall section of 15 meters (50 feet). A dozen cargo ships have been scattered.
The Baltimore Sun reports that the victims were a 54-year-old employee of a real estate consulting firm and the 37-year-old owner of a trucking company that had a contract with Amazon.
