Keefer & Doyel speak Colts win
Indianapolis Star

Vontae Davis, former Indianapolis Colts midfielder, is reported to have pulled out at the half-time of the Bills defeat against the Los Angeles Chargers. Davis signed a one – year contract last spring after the Colts released him last season.

In one video posted by Mike Rodak, ESPN reporterLinebacker Lorenzo Alexander expressed his dissatisfaction with the move.

"I have never seen it," said Alexander. "Pop-warner, high school, college, pros … never heard of that, never seen that, it's just completely disrespectful to his teammates."

Alexander added that Davis did not tell his teammates what he was doing, and that the Bills players had discovered what was happening at the start of the second half.

A tweet stating "#BillsMafia" is always pinned to Davis's Twitter account profile page.

Davis' departure to the NFL came with the Miami Dolphins, who entered him in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft from Illinois. He played for Miami until Indianapolis would trade a second round pick before the start of the 2012 season and he would make the Pro Bowl twice for the Colts.

His career with the Colts came to a controversial end as the team called him for what he called the game in decline, while Davis said he had a groin injury. Davis said that he felt "little respected" by the treatment of the situation by the team.
