The Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix suffered a long delay on Sunday night after the high-speed crash that saw Sophia Florsch's car fly over the barrier during a terrible event.
The German was transferred to the hospital following the stopping of the race after its launch in the air and over the guardrails following a shunt at Lisboa Bend.
It was confirmed that the 17-year-old victim was fractured in the spine, while two photographers and a race marshal were also taken for treatment.
The collision with Sho Tsuboi's TOM car, which occurred at the beginning of the lap, caused him to lose his wheels. The car passed the anti-debris fence and struck a photographers' bunker before falling back on its wheels.

In addition to Florsch's injuries, a medical report confirmed that photographer Chan Weng Wang had been torn to the liver while his colleague, Minami Hiroyuki, had suffered a concussion. Marshal Chan Cha's race was found with a broken jaw. The Florsch pilot collided with Tsuboi complaining of back pain.
The race was finally restarted after a delay of more than one hour as the people involved were monitored and the fence closed.
Ferrari junior driver Guan Yu Zhou, who was behind Floersch, explained the unfolding crash that followed the race.
"First of all, it was such a scary moment," Zhou said.
"Sophia was very close to Jehan, so when Jehan braked early, she did not have time to react.
"She hit Jehan's right-back, who turned it directly to Lisboa and landed in the other car.
"I just hope she's fine."
Floersch informed her fans after the race that she was "fine" but had to be operated on Monday morning (AEDT).
"I just wanted everyone to know that I'm fine but I'm going to have surgery tomorrow morning," she tweeted.
"Thanks to the FIA, the manager of HWA AG and Mercedes AMG who take great care of me.
"Thank you all for the messages of support. Update soon. "
The team's director, Frits van Amersfoort, told Autosport: "We must thank the angels that she had with her today and for the fantastic power of the Dallara car."
