Mario Impemba and Rod Allen, the duo of the Tigers Fox Sports Detroit broadcast team, were reportedly involved in a physical altercation Tuesday night, according to The Athletic.
However, Rod Allen's agent denies the report in a statement to 7 Action News:
We did not comment because Fox Sports Detroit deals with this issue professionally and thoroughly. But these ridiculous descriptions, obviously false, require me to tell the truth and that they are absolute fabrications.
There was no "fight". Nobody followed anyone, there was no contact from behind, and a "grip" is a shameful way of describing anything during this very brief altercation.
Anonymous fiction by others is an injustice to the very concepts of fairness and professionalism. Those who give such falsities to the media should be ashamed of themselves.
