The brewers win! And that means, according to Oprah's words, "You get a hamburger, you get a hamburger, everyone gets a hamburger!"

For the first time since 1987 and only the second time in its history, George Webba 24-hour, Milwaukee-based restaurant will give free hamburgers to hometown fans to fulfill George Webb's own promise that if the local team wins 12 consecutive games, it will distribute free hamburgers.

"I want a hamburger," said starter Gio Gonzalez after the Brewers beat the Dodgers 6-5. "I'd better have one in my locker tomorrow or … one way or another, I'm going to have one of those burgers."

He will have to wait a few days. The price of the hamburger will be from 14h to 18h. Thursday at one of 30 George Webb stores in Milwaukee and suburbs.

A limited menu will also be available at that time.

George Webb made that promise in the 1940s.

In April 1987, the Brewers played 13 games without defeat and fans lined up for hours in the rain for free hamburgers. This time, George Webb distributed free hamburgers from noon to 8 pm. (It's twice as long as this discount). The restaurant has distributed more than 170,000 free burgers.
