An unusually cold weather will continue for the next few days. A freeze warning is in effect for all of North Texas until Tuesday at 9:00 am, while the temperature is between 20 and 20 ° C. In addition, a windy wind will help produce wind chill values among teens.

Even before the actual chill, MedStar rescuers took four people to the hospital for cold exposure on Saturday and Sunday.
"We are trying to get the message across so that people are more aware and take it seriously," Roland Hernandez told MedStar.
Ambulances are stocked with warm compresses and blankets to heal patients suffering from exposure. Hernandez said seniors, youth and people with chronic diseases are most at risk when temperatures drop.
"They do not have the ability to maintain the heat," Hernandez said. "It dissipates with the cold, the children too."
Cold weather also puts extra pressure on the heart. People suffering from heart disease or high blood pressure should consult a doctor before working in the cold.
Dress in layers, be aware of the wind chill factor, remove any wet clothing as soon as possible and limit time spent outdoors. MedStar said not to ignore the chills. Persistent shivers are a signal to get back inside.
