The notice runs from 6 am until Saturday noon. The National Weather Service said that freezing rain and ice pellets would make travel difficult, and drivers should expect slippery roads.
The weather service reported total ice accumulations of about one-tenth of an inch before the precipitation turned into a united rain before noon Saturday.
The winter weather advisory was extended further east to include most areas west of I-95. Rain will affect the area early Saturday. Expect rain almost all day Saturday at around 9pm according to StormTeam4 meteorologist Matt Ritter.
