Players to watch
Kyler Murray: Forget the Heisman Trophy race. Oklahoma needs their quarterback to play well enough to win and qualify for next week's Big 12 championship game.
Parnell Motley: Lincoln Riley said the cornerback had played his best football of the season in recent weeks. He will need another remarkable effort on Friday night.
Kennedy Brooks: It is not known if Trey Sermon or T.J. Pledger will be available on Friday night. Brooks could be the only stock exchange available against West Virginia.
Two statistics to ponder
19: Oklahoma has won 19 consecutive games on the road and has not lost any of these contests since 2014. Another win is that of a university football record.
32.4: Percentage of games giving the Sooners 10 yards or more. This is the best record in the country, ahead of Alabama (27.4).
A prediction
Oklahoma 56, West Virginia 45: Kyler Murray is the best player on the field and Sooners' defense offers rare turnovers to give the Sooners just enough cushion for a win on the hard-won road.
